Location:

On the line connecting Weizhong (BL40) and chengshan (BL57), in the centre of the belly of gastrocnemius, 5 cun below Weizhong (BL40).

Functions:

Relaxes the sinew and invigorates the collateral.

Indications of chengjin:

  • Spasm of gastrocnemius, hemorrhoids, acute lower back pain.
  • Bowel movements problems like diarrhea, constipation, hemorrhoids.

Method:

Perpendicular insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.

Remarks:

Good for gastrocnemius problems.
