Fu: lying prostraate tu: rabbit
The prominence of the local muscle of the futu looks like a prostrate rabbit.

Location:

On the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and lower lateral border of the patella, 6 cun above the upper lateral border of the patella.

Functions of Futu/ST32:

  • Warms channels and dissipates cold.
  • Courses wind and quickens connecting vessels.

Indications:

Pain in the lumbar and iliac region, coldness of the knee, paralysis or motor impairment and pain of the lower extremities, beriberi.

Method:

Perpendicular or oblique insertion 1 to 2 cun.
