Nomenclature:

Liang: grain or food Men: Door
The point is on the upper epigastric region and is the door for the passage of food to the stomach.

Point: ST-21
Chinese Name: 梁门
Name: Liangmen
English Name/Meaning: Beam Gate
Pinyin: liáng mén
Han Geul 한글: yang mun 양문
Romaji: ryō mon

Location:

On the upper abdomen, 4 cun above the center of the umbilicus, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline of the abdomen.

Indication:

Mostly used for gastrointestinal disorders like Stomachache, vomiting, poor appetite,  abdominal distension.

Vietnamese: Lương môn

Method:

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8 cun.

Precaution:

In thin subjects, deep needling may penetrate the peritoneal cavity;
Deep needling at right may penetrate an enlarged liver.
Needling is not advisible for people who have recently eaten a large meal.
