Location:

Posterior to the fifth metatarsophalangeal joint, at the junction of the red and white skin.

Functions of Shugu, BL65:

  • Courses wind and dispel pathogen.
  • Relaxes sinew and invigorates channel.
  • Clears heat and resolves toxin.

Indications:

Mania, headache, neck rigidity, eye pain, blurring of vision, backache, pain in the lower extremities.

Method:

Transverse insertion 0.3 to 0.5 cun.

Remarks:

Good for insect stings.
