Bafeng EX-LE10 : Location, Functions, Indication, Method


Nomenclature :

English Name/Meaning: Eight Winds
Chinese Name: 八风
Chinese Pinyin: Ba-feng

Location :

On the dorsum of foot, proximal to the margins of the webs between all five toes, at the junction of the red and white skin. One foot has four points, both feet have a total of eight points.

Functions and Indications of Bafeng :

  • Bafeng clears heat and reduces swelling so is beneficial for toe pain, swelling and pain of the dorsum of the foot.
  • Also beneficial in beriberi.

Method :

Oblique insertion 0.5-0.8 cun; or prick to cause bleeding.

Remarks :

Good point for neuropathy of lower limb.
