Nomenclature:

Fu: Zang-fu organs She: Dwelling
The deep region of Fu-she is the abdominal cavity, which is the dwelling place of the Zang-fu organs.

Point: SP-13
Chinese Name: 府舍
English Name/Meaning: Abode of the Fu
Pinyin: fǔ shè
Han Geul 한글: bu sa 부사
Romaji: fu sha
Vietnamese: Phủ xá

Location:

4 cun lateral to the anterior midline and 0.7 cun superior to the upper border of the pubic symphysis.

Functions of fushe:

  • Disperses accumulations.
  • Regulates the Qi and relieves pain.

Indications:

Lower abdominal pain, hernia.

Method:

Perpendicular insertion, 0.5 to 1 cun.

Remarks:

Crossing point of Yin Wei Vessel and Liver channel.

Precautions:

In thin patients, deep needling may penetrate the peritoneal cavity.
