Huiyang pertains to the yang meridian where it crosses the governor Vessel (Dumai), which is considered as the sea of the Yang meridians.

Location:

On the sacrum, 0.5 cun lateral to the tip of the coccyx.

Functions of Huiyang:

  • Clears damp-heat and regulates the lower jiao.
  • Benefits the coccys and treats hemorrhoids.

Indications:

Pain and numbness in the sacral region, pain in the anus, prolapsed rectum, hemorrhoids, pain in coccyx, menstrual back pain.

Method:

Perpendicular insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.
