Location:

On the lateral side of the foot, directly below the anterior border of the external malleolus, on the lower border of the cuboid bone.

Functions of Jinmen:

  • Relax sinew and invigorates collateral.
  • Calms the spirit.

Indications:

Mania, epilepsy, infantile convulsion, backache, pain in the external malleolus, motor impairment and pain of the lower extremities.

Method:

Transverse insertion 0.3 to 0.5 cun.

Remarks:

  • Xi cleft point.
  • Crossing point with yangwei vessel.
