Wuchu BL5 lies 1 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.

Wu: fifth Chu:place
Wuchu is the fifth point of the bladder meridian of Foot-taiyang.
Point: BL5
Chinese Name: 五处
English Name/Meaning: Fifth Place
Pinyin: wǔ chǔ
Han Geul 한글: o cheo 오처
Romaji: go sho(?)
Vietnamese:Ngũ xứ

Location:

1 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.

Functions of wuchu:

  • Dispels wind and clears heat.
  • Opens the channel and the luo vessels.
  • Opens the orifices (especially the eyes) and revives consciousness.
  • Sedates liver yang.

Indications:

Headache, blurring of vision, epilepsy, convulsion.

Method:

Transverse insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.

Remarks:

Has similar indication as of BL4.
