Nomenclature:

Shao: young Fu: place
The point belongs to Hand -shaoyin Meridian and is where the Qi of the meridian flows in.

Location:

On the palm, between 4th and 5th metacarpal bones (when fist made) between the tips of the little finger and the ring finger.

Indications and Functions of Shaofu :

  • Clears heart fire and calms mind. So is used for serious mental problems.
  • Clam shen: Palpitations, chest pain;
  • Lower jiao problems:Itching and pain of the genitals;
  • Spasmodic pain of the little finger, heat sensations in the palm.

Method :

Puncture perpendicularly 0.3-0.5cun.

Remarks:

Ying-Spring Point. Famous for skin problems.
